"THE OLD MAN MAD ABOUT ANIMATING" is my personal, legacy project - uniquely remembering the people, events and experiences I have had throughout my career in the world of traditional hand-drawn animation. With no cameras to record those moments, I am now going to re-created them through animation. There is far more to the film than that of course, as it deals with my life on both an inner and outer level. But in order to explain it simply, making a promotional video is the best way I know of getting the idea across.

Another unique aspect of this film is - if funded sufficiently - I will be able to commission young and talented animators from around the world, to animate some of my stories for me, using their own styles and techniques. Additionally, I also hope to apprentice some of my best animation students, from my 2D Academy and beyond, to learn alongside me as I work on the film.

Clearly this all will be a unique experience for all concerned, myself included! However, to achieve this innovative concept - and in the probable absence of full production funding - I do need the help of Patreon supporters to help me do it - hence this promotional video.
